CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin
A paired protocol for growth hormone support, recovery and lean mass.
Two peptides used together. One raises the background signal for growth hormone release, the other triggers a clean burst of it. Working through two separate routes produces a bigger effect than either achieves alone.
- Format
- Subcutaneous injection
- Cadence
- 5 days on, 2 days off
- Typical course
- 3 to 6 months, cycled

- Tier 2, $249 per vial
This peptide is not FDA-approved for the uses described. Compounded medications are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality, and availability varies by state and by pharmacy. Everything below describes what this peptide is studied for. None of it is a claim of proven benefit.
How it works
CJC-1295 raises the baseline
It works like sermorelin but lasts far longer, lifting the underlying signal for growth hormone release rather than producing a short spike.
Ipamorelin triggers the burst
It prompts a sharp release through a different route. Its advantage is how clean it is, with very little of the unwanted hormonal side effects that older options carried.
Two routes beat one
Because the two work through separate systems, using them together produces a noticeably larger release than either on its own.
Why it is cycled
Constant stimulation makes the body less responsive over time. The 5 days on, 2 days off pattern keeps it working across a longer course.
What the evidence says
Both have been shown in people to raise growth hormone levels. Neither is FDA-approved, and there is no long-term data on using them in healthy adults.
What to expect
- Weeks 1 to 4
Sleep and recovery are usually the first things people notice.
- Weeks 4 to 12
Recovery between sessions and holding onto lean mass are where change tends to show.
- Months 3 to 6
Cycled rather than continuous. Your physician sets the pattern and reviews your bloodwork.
Protocol
| Pattern | 5 days on, then 2 days off |
|---|---|
| Timing | Bedtime, on an empty stomach |
| Monitoring | Bloodwork before starting, then at 12 and 24 weeks |
Stick to the on and off pattern rather than dosing every day. More is not better here, and constant use makes it work less well.
Is it right for you?
Often a good fit
- Adults training consistently who are recovering slowly
- People who did well on sermorelin but want something stronger
- People who want growth hormone support without injecting growth hormone itself
Not a fit
- Anyone with an active cancer diagnosis
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Athletes in tested sport, where both are banned
- Anyone unwilling to do the monitoring bloodwork
